Gradiant takes part at FINDE.U 2018

 

International University Employment Fair FINDE.U takes place from October 16th to 17th at Porto (Portugal)

This event is oriented to promote the employability and mobility of university students in the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion

Gradiant participates during the next day’s October 16th and 17th in the International University Employment Fair (FINDE.U), a meeting between universities, students and companies to offer a wide range of employment opportunities and job promotion mainly to university graduates from the Galicia-North of Portugal Euroregion, although this event is open to general visitors. Organized by Universidade do Porto in association with Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Universidade de Vigo and EURES / IEFP network, more than 150,000 candidates are expected to participate in this event taking place at EXPONOR exhibition centre in Porto.

In this international place, Gradiant is present as an organization employing to find young talents. Leticia Torrejón, Recruiter & Talent Manager at Gradiant, says “it’s important to attend this kind of events beyond our community to find new talent sources and look for different profiles that can complete our current expertise”. In addition, Torrejón points out the opportunity to attend this event in Porto for the first time in order to explore technological talent of our neighbours.

 

Talent to research and develop tomorrow’s technologies

Among the different profiles demanded by Gradiant are graduates in Telecommunication Engineering specialized in cybersecurity, data analysis and signal processing for communications, as well as profiles with studies in Mathematics or Statistics, with knowledge in Machine Learning and Deep Learning for example. Regarding personal skills, the centre is looking for “proactive and self-reliant candidates interested in joining a very dynamic team”, says Torrejón, who points out that Gradiant “offers the opportunity to join a growing ICT technology centre working with tomorrow’s technologies in an incomparable place like Vigo”. In this third edition, FINDE.U aims to renovate its innovative character and strengthen the existing connection between the North of Portugal and Galicia, putting in direct contact the main Portuguese, Spanish and international employers with more than 66,000 university students and nearly 150,000 graduates of the four organizing institutions.

The event is open to all students’ participation, no matter their areas of training. For them, this date is a good opportunity to research and meet those organizations that best suit their career prospects and professional interests, in addition to finding out what skills are sought by current employers.
