What did you want to do when you were younger?

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a teacher.

Why did you choose technology for your future?

I like to know how things work. When I was a little girl, I used to open a lot of things to see what they looked inside.

Where did you plan to do your career? Why?

I didn’t think about it, really. I chose Vigo because it was close to home.

What are you currently working on?

I’m working on programming, especially for embedded platforms. Currently, I am developing a tool for the analysis of quality multimedia signals, like video or audio.

What do you like most about your job?

I like to program. It’s like a hobby to me because it’s similar to solving puzzles. Someone gives you a problem and you have to try to solve it with the tools you have. I also like to see how something you have developed from an idea or design becomes functional.

Who is your feminine reference in tech world?

I don’t have any references, male or female. I think there have been a lot of important people throughout history and they have all taken us to the point where we are right now, regardless of gender.

What would you say to the technologist of the future?

I would say them that, if they really like technology, don’t hesitate to do it.
