Gradiant participates actively in the IoT Week 2015, Lisbon

Gradiant will organize the meeting of the WorkGroup 6 of AIOTI, and will also participate in several meetings of other groups within the Alliance

The Internet of Things (IoT) represents the next step towards the digitalization of our society and economy. A future in which objects and people will be interconnected via communication networks and can even report and interact about their status and their environment.

IoT Week 2015 is an event dedicated to partnerships building, to create ecosystems and value chains to ensure the rapid deployment of interoperable and replicable solutions in the IoT enviroment. This conference aims to link research and innovation regarding Internet of Things with the industry and business community.

The focus of the meeting will be on new emerging opportunities and promoting international cooperation in matters of strategic importance, such as market and social challenges to be faced in the future of IoT.

The Alliance for Innovation in the Internet Of Things (AIOTI) is playing a key role in this conference. AIOTI Council will take place in the framework of the Lisbon IoT Week ’15, and several Working Groups (WG) of AIOTI will organize their work meetings in the context of the Lisbon event.

Gradiant, as the main agent of innovation in ICT in Galicia, is in chair of the Working Group 6 (WG6), about Smart Farming and Food Safety. During IoT Week 2015, Gradiant will organize the meeting of the WorkGroup 6 of AIOTI, and will also participate in several meetings of other groups within the Alliance.

AIOTI Alliance was created to support the European Commission in research and innovation in the field of Internet of Things, its standardization activities, and to support decision-making policies at a european level.
