The main objective of ARGOS project is the design and implementation on a SoC platform of a series of algorithms to detect different types of defects (video freezing, constant blank images, problems with audio, etc.) in a multiformat video signal – MPEG2, H.264 / AVC, H.265 / HEVC-. The developed system must have the capacity to process, in parallel and in real time, multiple media streams.
The role of GRADIANT focuses on both algorithmic design and implementation. The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness (MINECO) within the State Plan of Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016 provided a grant for the project “ARGOS”, led by Gsertel, with ID number RTC-2016-4691-7. This project has been funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness within the Sub-COLLABORATION CHALLENGES call 2016. The main objective for this call is to promote technological development, innovation and quality research.
