INNTERCONECTA 2015 project, cofounded by the Technological and Industrial Development Center (CDTI) dependent of the Economy, Industrial and Competitivity Ministry. As result of the need for optimization in the use of resources within cloud infrastructures, it is winning more and more importance the technologies based on container virtualization. This technologies also help to leverage a new paradigm in the business application delivery which is known as microservices. Some of the advantages obtained with this project are the network and computational performance optimization per service, the use of public infrastructures for the peak load subcontatation, the storage virtualization associated to containers, the automatization of the services lifecycle management and the transactional update of applications. The role of Gradiant in the project is the use of container-related expertise in computational infrastructure, the viability study of Docker-network deduplication and the management of the service level.
