Gradiant has started in 2010 the application of mathematical techniques such as filtering and prediction to the clothing retail sector, as a result of the demand coming from leading companies in this field. Signal processing is a discipline which is commonly used by researchers in Gradiant to face many different problems and, in addition, it can offer solutions to problems in other fields beyond ICT. Thus, it is often of importance to analyze the consistency of time series to detect possible flaws in the sampling process, or to predict values which turn out to be important for business decisions. Gradiant foresees the continued application of mathematical tools commonly used in ICT, such as filtering or frequency transforms, to problems encountered in other disciplines.
