Gradiant’ biometric technologies in 4YFN

‘4 Years From Now (4YFN)’ is the startup business platform of Mobile World Capital Barcelona

Gradiant will showcase the most innovative biometric solutions in the Spanish Pavillion

Gradiant takes part in 4 Years From Now (4YFN) for the first time, the startup business platform of Mobile World Capital Barcelona that enables startups, investors, corporations and public institutions to discover, create and launch new ventures together.

From 26 to 28 February, Barcelona joins the fastest growing digital startup event in the world to connect startups, investors and corporations during Mobile World Congress, the largest gathering for the mobile industry. With more than 19000 attendees, 600 startups, 700 investors and more than 270 speakers, 4YFN offers unique connecting initiatives, such as custom networking activities, technical abilities workshops, congresses, community outreach and open innovation programmes.

Gradiant has its own space at 4YFN within the Spanish Pavilion (Montjuic Hall M8, booth R2.19). Hand in hand with the ICEX, Gradiant showcases in Barcelona its biometric solutions for digital on boarding and KYC processes, biometric login on mobile devices, and secure document access and signature for Samsung Note 8 devices.

Biometric solutions for banking, security and health sectors

During 4YFN Gradiant is showing the latest biometric solutions for digital on boarding, KYC processes, and biometric login for mobile devices.

faceIDNN verifies user’s identity by comparing the face with the photograph in his/her ID, driver’s license or passport. Using both images, the verification techniques developed by Gradiant verify in real time if they belong to the same person.

Likewise, selfie&sign is a secure and easy-to-use solution for mobile biometric login. This face biometric recognition solution incorporates an advanced mechanism to avoid spoofing based on the simultaneous verification of the user’s handwritten signature.

Gradiant’ experience in facial recognition has allowed to develop techniques for anti-spoofing attacks, as well as guaranteeing verification even when there are changes of appearance in front of the photograph of the ID card, or the person has aged. Both, faceIDNN and selfie&sign incorporate these technological innovations, especially in dealing with the customer and digital on boarding services.

Gradiant Signer, secure access and signature for documents

After successful presentation at CES 2018, Gradiant shows in Barcelona the integration of Dynamic Signature Verification (DSV) biometric technology into Samsung Galaxy Note devices. The solution, so-called Gradiant Signer, allows to access and securely sign any document anywhere, and has been specially designed for Samsung Galaxy Note.

A user is authenticated via Samsung Pass to get access to a confidential document and sign it with S-Pen anywhere and anytime in a secure and reliable way, since user’s signature is verified through Gradiant’ DSV technology.

The combined product thus comprises three complementary security layers: on the one hand, the physical biometric recognition of the user (iris and / or fingerprint) and the electronic signature, both powered by Samsung Pass; on the other hand, the biometric handwritten signature recognition, powered by Gradiant’ DSV technology.
