The project focuses on the provision of broadband services in the future, through integrated service using both terrestrial and satellite technologies. “An Intelligent User Gateway” is the center of the project; this intelligent gateway must dynamically route each traffic flow through the most appropriate access to optimize the Quality of Experience (QoE). This project will be tested in labs and field tests to be conducted in Spain and Germany. In the case of satellites, research on the “Ultra High Throughput Satellite Systems” will be improved to reduce the cost per bit. Gradiant is mainly involved in defining the system, field testing and research of new ultra-fast satellite links.
