UAS detection and Video Analytics technologies on the road to Chicago

Gradiant is visiting USA to take part at XPONENTIAL 2019, the most important international conference for UAVS community

The technology ICT centre is exposing at the event their own system for drones detection and neutralization, as well as other technologies in the security field

Gradiant is taking part for fourth year in a row at XPONENTIAL, the most important international fair for unnamed vehicles community. In this event, the technology ICT centre is exposing their own system for drones detection and neutralization, as well as other technologies in the security field. From April 30th to May 2nd Chicago is hosting this fair where all the latest developments in the sector will be announced.

For all those who wants to discover Gradiant’s technologies, they can visit booth 3416 (Spanish Pavilion, coordinated by ICEX, at Chicago’s McCormick Place). Along with the Xunta de Galicia (Galician Regional government) and the companies Indra and Babcock, Gradiant is also showcasing in the area dedicated to the Civil UAVs Initiative (CUI), to promote Galicia as an international reference in the unmanned vehicles for civil use.

Gradiant’s technologies have been developed by both, national and international companies and prove centre’s innovation expertise in the competitive industry of unmanned aerial vehicles. “XPONENTIAL is the world’s reference event for drones, bringing together all the agents involved in this industry. At the fair, we can meet all of them and find out about their needs” explains Iago Gómez, co-director Advanced Communications department at Gradiant.

Technologies developed to improve security

In this international and specialized scenario, Gradiant is showcasing Counter UAS, a drone detection, classification, tracking and neutralization system. This solution provides people and infrastructures protection against malicious or negligent use of drones. Counter UAS is a modular, scalable and decentralized system and can operate 24/7, either autonomously or commanded by an operator. The system integrates complementary detection, analysis and neutralization technologies in 4 independent modules: smartHack, smartEar, smartEye and smartJam.

In addition, the Gradiant team will unveil intelligent Video Analytics technology for territory management and land and maritime surveillance. This time, Gradiant combines image processing experience and a deep drone environment knowledge to develop the system that helps integrators to extend their response capabilities by incorporating Video Analytics tools to drone operations.

“Being present at such an event for the fourth consecutive year is an important recognition to the quality of our work, in addition to as well as the confirmation of mature state of our technologies in an exceptional international scenario,” adds
